Content Strike
I feel so guilty- I accidentally crossed a virtual picket line. In my defence I commented on something before I knew there was a strike going on, but I still feel bad.

Rememberance Day
Today is Rememberance Day.
The Cenotaph service begins at 10.30 for the silence at 11.00.
For me, I can connect the most vividly with the Second World War, because my grandfather fought, and did in fact do a whole range of exciting and interesting things, and as an author that survived wrote it all down. I find it wonderful that I can pick up one of his books and not only read about history but about a person, and I can really connect and get the feeling that I am getting to know him better, especially now, after he has died and while I am in the process of growing up.
Personally I also think particularly about the First World War and the current wars in Afganistan and Iraq as well as the Second World War.

Hello there
I registered this account during strikethrough and boldthrough over at LJ. I meant to switch to this blog over a month ago, when school started, but I've been very busy and very drained and so my first post is now. I think I'm gonna petty much keep this journal private or friends locked for a bit, so maybe nobody will ever read this. Regardless here are some facts about me:
1. I am small, with long dark brown [NOT black] hair and eyes that change colour. I have freckles, sometimes glasses, and slightly wonky teeth.
2. Obviously, I like writing, or I wouldn't be here. I write novels, some of which are short stories only because I haven't gotten around to finishing them, poetry and fic. My fic is mainly slash.
3. Music is a big part of my life, but I am incredibly easy. I adore the radio, and see nothing wrong with the majoity of mainstream music. Sure, I like Bowie and the Beatles and Baby Shambles and Blink 182 and Flanders and Swann and Carmina Burana and movie soundtracks too. I like most music I hear. This is NOT a bad thing.
4. Famous people I fancy include: Daniel Radcliffe, David Tennant, Hugh Laurie, John Barrowman, Johnny Depp, Russell Howard and many many others. I can't type them all.
5. Real person I fancy: W*** F******* [male]. I haven't seen him for ages, but do still think about him quite strongly occassionally. Everytime I try to "accidentally" run into him, he's nowhere to be found. It's very frustrating.
6. Real person I may or may not fancy: A*** R******* [female]. It's complicated.
7. Aspirations: I desperately want to get something published. Also, being incredible egotistical and self obsessed, I'd quite like to become Prime Minister and therefore solve all of societies problems.
8. I want to have children [not yet, obviously.] Yes, I have already picked their names. No, I won't type them, even with stars.
9. I already have regrets.
